KETTLE LAKE WALK-A-THON 2023!!
Dear Kettle Lake Families:
Our 19th annual Walk-a-thon is quickly approaching! This PTO-sponsored event is our MAIN fundraiser of the school
year! Each child at Kettle Lake benefits from this fundraiser. The proceeds raised from this event are used for many
school activities. Some examples are; busing for field trips, Scholastic News, books for students, special assemblies,
classroom supplies, teacher appreciation, and much MORE! Each classroom receives an allotment to use in the
classroom for activities throughout the year. The PTO has set a hefty goal of $30,000. If we are able to reach our goal
for the 2023/2024 school year, we will not need additional fundraisers throughout the year and eliminate the need for
students to sell items such as gift wrap, food, or trinkets.
The classroom with the most money raised from the upper (3-4) and lower elementary (K-2) will also win a teacher’s
choice party (cider and donuts, popsicles, etc.) later this fall.
We realize you have many opportunities to give to the school throughout the year, but if you’d like to have a “one and
done” option, this would be it. Students are collecting tax-deductible donations toward a 30-minute walk that will take
place during the school day on Friday, September 29th. Please have all money collected and turned in on or before
September 29. All donations need to be entered on the attached donation sheet, regardless of payment method.
This year we have decided to Streamline our WALK-A-THON fundraising & we are so EXCITED to use 99Pledges platform
for online donations! Each child has their own individual link that can be found at www.99pledges.com/fund/kettlelake.
Simply search your child’s name & it will have a unique code (I used my sons as an example – see below). By using this
platform, we can have fun competitions between classrooms, grades, etc – seeing who has raised the most money!
Please make sure that you are using the link, this will give your child credit towards their PRIZE GOAL!
We are still accepting CASH or CHECK (If paying by check, please make payable to “Kettle Lake PTO”).
As an incentive for students, we are offering prizes for the money they collect.
Level 1 ($0.01 - $60.00) – Cal Sticker
Level 2 ($61.00 - $120.00) – Cal Sticker + Cal Purple Headband
Level 3 ($121.00 - $200.00) – Cal Sticker + Cal Black Bucket Hat
Level 4 ($201.00 & above) – Caledonia Blanket + Cal Sticker + Cal Purple Headband + Cal Black Bucket Hat

9:30am-10:00am 1st Grade
10:05am-10:35am 3rd Grade
10:40am-11:10am 2nd Grade

a-thon will be moved to Monday, October 2nd.

this wonderful community!
